Paul Rose
Paul is one of the world’s most experienced science expedition leaders and is currently Expedition Leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions. Broadcaster, published author, journalist, Rose also presents BBC television programs on current affairs, science and the environment. He is Ambassador for the UN Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions with a special portfolio for plastics. Paul was Base Commander for the British Antarctic Survey for ten years and was awarded HM The Queen’s Polar Medal. The Royal Geographical Society awarded him the Founders Gold Medal. A mountain in Antarctica is named after him.
